Your bill explained

We want to make sure you're completely clear about what you're paying and why, so we've designed our bills to be as straightforward as possible. This page explains the different information on your bill and how we've worked out what you need to pay us.

If you've registered for an online account, you can access your most recent bill on the move, using your mobile phone or other device. You just need to log in to your account. If you haven't done so already, please activate your online account here.

About your Bill

This provides you with a summary of all the important information you need to know about your bill in a simple and customer-centric design.

Customer Details

In this section, you'll find all the key reference numbers linked to your account. This information may be needed to set up an online account or pay a bill. It also provides you with the date of your bill was issued and the payment due date.

Customer Name

Account Number:
This number is specific to your ADDC account at the property shown. Every property registered with us has its unique account number. Using your account number when contacting us makes it easier and faster to identify your account.
Bill Number:
This is a unique reference number that is generated for each bill you receive. This number allows ease in identifying each bill generated. If you have an enquiry regarding your bill, provide us with the bill number and the bill date when you contact our support team.
Tariff Type:
Here you'll see the tariff type applied to calculate your bill.

Property Details

This section is specific to your residential address's details, including the property ID, type and name of the property owner.

RESIDENTIAL CUSTOMER ADDRESS:

PROPERTY ID:
The unique identifier of the property that is being supplied with services under this account.
OUR VAT NUMBER:
ADDC's unique tax registration number from the UAE Federal Tax Authority.
THIS IS A TAX INVOICE:
This shows the bill is a tax invoice and can be used to claim input tax, if applicable.

Total to Pay by the Due Date

Here you'll see your bill's current amount, which includes any outstanding amount carried over from your previous bill and includes the total VAT. This is the consolidated amount you are due to pay for all your services by the due date.

Breakdown of the Charge Includes VAT

Here we provide you with a detailed and clear breakdown of the amount due for each service in your bill. Each amount mentioned in the breakdown includes VAT.

VAT on Other charges:
This shows the Value Added Tax (VAT) that you will pay on your other charges. The VAT is applicable at a standard rate of 5%.
Total VAT:
This is the total VAT you have to pay and includes VAT on service consumption and VAT on other charges.

This section provides alerts related to your electricity consumption. It informs you how your average consumption of electricity has changed in this billing period compared to the same period last year, if your Electricity consumption exceeds the ideal average or not, and shows you your average daily cost of electricity.

Clear and Comprehensive Usage
BreakDown Display

Here you'll find everything you need to know about your electricity consumption for this bill. Please note that the government provides subsidies on your electricity bills.

Electricity meter number:
Every meter has a unique number that shows us which meter is measuring your consumption. This assures us that we are always sending you the right bill.
Meter reading:
This shows you the meter reading that we have based your bill on. If we haven't been able to take an actual reading, this may be an estimated figure based on your typical previous usage. In this case, you will be notified on your bill that it is an estimated reading.
Total units:
The number you see here shows how many units (in kWh) of electricity you've used since your last bill. We multiply this by the unit rate from your tariff to work out your consumption.
Date of meter reading:
This shows the date your meter was read, either automatically or by one of our technicians. If it's an estimated reading, the date shown will be the date we're basing it on.
Days of use:
Here you'll see how many days are included in this billing period. Usually, your bills will be issued month-by-month, but on some occasions, you may get a bill for a longer or shorter period.
Total (before Including VAT):
This shows the total of your electricity service consumption charges without including VAT.
VAT of the service:
This shows the Value Added Tax (VAT) that you will pay on your electricity consumption charges. The VAT is applicable at a standard rate of 5%.
Total VAT:
This is the total VAT you have to pay and includes VAT on electricity consumption.

This shows a monthly breakdown of your average daily electricity usage over the year, and it shows your current consumption compared to the same period last year. Most customers consume much more during the summer months due to the constant need for air conditioning.

Similar to electricity consumption alerts, this section provides you with water consumption alerts. It provides you with alerts if your average consumption of water has changed in this billing period compared to the same period last year if your water consumption exceeds the ideal average or not and also shows you your average daily cost of water.
