ADDC takes part as "Main Partner" in the "Accident-free Summer Campaign" organized by the Ministry of Interior (MoI) starting from July 1. The contribution comes as a manifestation of the company's efforts to be not only as an utility provider but also to be as an organization that plays an active role in providing support to the different social activities.
The three-month campaign aims to create a sense of responsibility and cooperation to reduce traffic accidents during the summer season that usually sees a large number of holidaymakers who travel by land to their respective destinations in the GCC and neighboring Arab countries.
According to the statistics issued by MoI some 6700 took place during the last year 2011, 96 of which were caused by tires puncture causing the death of 31 people and 243 sustained different injuries. MoI advices the public to check tire air pressure balance and to shift tires from time to time. Car should not also be overloaded and load height shouldn't exceed 60 centimeter.
The campaign logo has been uploaded on ADDC's internet portal and published on utility bills. Some of MoI officials talked to ADDC employees and customers about the measures to be taken before travelling on highways to avoid traffic accidents.
